Ultra Europe is the European edition of the Ultra Music Festival brand, held annually at Park Mladezi in Split, Croatia. The 2026 edition runs July 10 to 12 with headliners including Calvin Harris (making his festival debut), Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, DJ Snake, John Summit, FISHER, and Dom Dolla. After the main festival, Destination ULTRA events continue on the Croatian islands of Brac and Vis through July 15.

How Ultra Europe Works

Ultra Europe takes place over three nights at Park Mladezi, an open-air stadium complex in Split that transforms into a massive festival venue capable of holding over 20,000 people at a time. The festival runs from 20:00 to 05:00 each night across multiple stages, including the Main Stage, the RESISTANCE stage (dedicated to underground house and techno), the UMF stage, and the Oasis stage.

Key operational details:

  1. Stages and Programming: The Main Stage hosts the biggest EDM, house, and trance headliners. The RESISTANCE stage features underground techno and house acts. The UMF and Oasis stages showcase emerging talent and diverse electronic styles. For 2026, organizers upgraded the UMF stage with a larger footprint and enhanced production.
  2. Destination ULTRA: After the Split festival, the event moves to the islands. Ultra Beach takes place at Olife Beach Club in Milna on Brac (July 13). Resistance Brac follows at Club 585 (July 14). Resistance Vis closes the week on Vis Island (July 15). These island events require separate tickets and sell out quickly.
  3. Ticketing: Three-day general admission passes start at around 239 euros. VIP three-day passes start at 449 euros. One-day VIP tickets are available from 199 euros. Regional one-day GA tickets start at 69 euros, and regional three-day GA passes at 135 euros. Tickets are sold through the official Ultra Europe website and Entrio.
  4. Travel and Accommodation: Split is a major transport hub with an international airport, ferry connections, and direct bus routes. During Ultra Europe week, the city fills up fast. Book accommodation and island transport well in advance, as Split and surrounding islands become extremely busy.

Real-World Example: Ultra Europe 2026

The 2026 edition marks the 12th year of Ultra Europe and is set to be the largest in the event's history. Organizers expect over 150,000 visitors from more than 140 countries, up from 145,000 attendees from 120 countries in 2025.

Calvin Harris headlines with his Ultra Europe debut, joined by Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, DJ Snake, John Summit, FISHER, and Dom Dolla on the Main Stage. The final lineup wave added German producer BUNT., Plastik Funk, MYKRIS, a back-to-back set from Ray Volpe and Sullivan King, and the return of trance star Dash Berlin.

The RESISTANCE stage features Cuban producer Malone Morez and Deer Jade alongside the previously announced underground lineup. The expanded UMF stage includes D. Lacrux, Nils Van Zandt, Pette, Charles B, Yamatomaya, TwoFace, and Block and Crown.

For an independent artist, landing an Ultra Europe slot means exposure to 150,000+ international fans and industry professionals from across the continent. The festival's multi-stage format means booking opportunities exist beyond the Main Stage, particularly on the UMF and Oasis stages which program emerging talent.

Why It Matters for Independent Artists

Ultra Europe draws attendees from over 140 countries, making it one of the most internationally diverse electronic festivals in the world. A booking here puts you in front of promoters, agents, and label A and R reps from across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The festival's location on the Croatian coast also means you are performing during peak European summer festival season, when industry attention is at its highest.

The strategy for getting booked:

  1. Build a strong reputation on the European club and festival circuit. Ultra Europe bookers track artists who sell out small venues and generate buzz at regional festivals.
  2. Target the UMF and Oasis stages first. These stages program emerging talent and are more accessible to independent artists than the Main Stage.
  3. Work with a booking agent who has relationships with the Ultra Worldwide team. Most slots are filled through agent submissions.
  4. Use our Streaming Royalty Calculator to track your streaming growth, as festival bookers increasingly look at streaming data when evaluating emerging acts.
