AllTrack is a US-based performing rights organization founded in 2017 by Hayden Bower. It is the first new US PRO in over 85 years that welcomes all songwriters and publishers. Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Nashville and New York, AllTrack represents independent artists, songwriters, composers, producers, and publishers for the collection of performing rights royalties in more than 120 countries.

How AllTrack Works

AllTrack is uniquely built to serve independent music creators. Unlike ASCAP and BMI, which cater to all tiers of the industry, AllTrack focuses specifically on independent writers and the publishers that serve them. The organization collects performance royalties from businesses and events that use music publicly, including streaming services (Spotify, YouTube, TikTok), radio and TV stations, bars, restaurants, hotels, stadiums, and retail stores.

In November 2024, AllTrack launched a mechanical rights division, becoming the first US PRO to offer integrated performance and mechanical royalty collection through a single platform. This means songwriters can collect worldwide royalties from streaming, downloads, and physical formats without registering with multiple organizations like The MLC.

In 2025, AllTrack expanded into neighboring rights administration through the acquisition of Number13's assets (a firm founded by former SoundExchange executive Wade Metzler). This made AllTrack the only US-based PRO to directly administer and collect neighboring rights royalties for artists and labels, in addition to performance and mechanical royalties.

AllTrack joined CISAC in 2024 as a rights management entity, becoming the fourth US PRO to do so alongside ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. In September 2024, AllTrack launched APIs for integration with creator platforms, with Tidal becoming the first service to implement in-platform PRO registration and song-level metadata access.

Real-World Example

An independent songwriter in Nashville joins AllTrack in 2026. They register their catalog of 30 songs, listing themselves as both writer and publisher. Their songs generate performance royalties from Spotify streams in the US, radio play in the UK, and live performances at venues across Europe.

Through AllTrack's CISAC membership, the songwriter collects performance royalties from all 120+ countries where their music is performed. They also register for AllTrack's mechanical rights division to collect mechanical royalties from Spotify downloads and physical CD sales. Additionally, they use AllTrack's neighboring rights service to collect digital radio royalties from SoundExchange-type collections internationally.

Without AllTrack, this same songwriter would need to join a separate PRO for performance royalties, register with The MLC for mechanical royalties, and hire a neighboring rights administrator for digital radio royalties. AllTrack consolidates all three into a single membership.

Why It Matters for Independent Artists

AllTrack is designed specifically for independent creators. If you are an unsigned songwriter, self-published composer, or independent producer, AllTrack offers a single-platform solution for three royalty types that typically require three separate organizations.

However, AllTrack has faced scrutiny. In December 2025, Rep. Scott Fitzgerald sent a letter to the FTC questioning the transparency of newer PROs including AllTrack. AllTrack responded by meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, voluntarily enhancing disclosures on its website, and adding a repertory search link to its header navigation. The US Copyright Office opened and closed a Notice of Inquiry into PRO practices in 2025 without forcing any changes.

Before joining AllTrack, compare it against ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC using our PRO comparison guide. Consider factors like distribution frequency, catalog size, territory coverage, and whether the integrated mechanical and neighboring rights services match your needs.
