Spotify to Deezer: The Cleanest Transfer Path of the Three
Spotify-to-Deezer is the most reliable transfer pair the tool offers, for one specific reason: Deezer exposes a direct /track/isrc:[code] lookup endpoint. Both Spotify and Deezer include the ISRC on track objects, so this tool can take the ISRC from the Spotify source and retrieve the precise matching recording on Deezer without any fuzzy guessing. According to the IFPI's ISRC documentation, virtually all commercially released digital tracks carry an ISRC. For a typical mainstream playlist, expect 90% or more of your tracks to be resolved by ISRC alone.
The remaining tracks — usually older catalog items, self-released tracks distributed without proper ISRC registration, or tracks that Deezer carries under a different ISRC than the one Spotify reports — fall through to the fuzzy matcher. The fuzzy matcher normalizes titles and artists, removes common suffixes like "(Remastered 2015)" and "feat. X," and scores candidates by string similarity. Anything below the confidence threshold gets flagged for your manual review before the write step begins.
Deezer Catalog Coverage
Deezer's catalog contains over 120 million tracks as of 2025, broadly comparable to Spotify's. In practice, the main gaps between the two are regional releases and some catalog from major labels during periods of licensing disputes. For most mainstream and indie playlists, the match rate is above 95%. Podcast episodes and local files in your Spotify library are skipped automatically since they have no equivalent on Deezer.
No Quota Limits
Unlike the YouTube Data API, Deezer's API does not use a daily quota system for standard playlist operations. A 500-track transfer completes as quickly as the API responds, typically in under two minutes. Deezer also accepts batched track additions (comma-separated IDs in a single call), so large playlists write faster than YouTube equivalents.
