Wonderfruit is a five-day arts, music, and culture festival held annually at The Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya, Thailand. Founded in 2014 by Pranitan "Pete" Phornprapha and produced by Scratch First, it combines electronic and world music with sustainability programming, farm-to-feast dining, wellness workshops, art installations, and talks. The 2026 edition runs December 3 to 7 and marks the festival's 11th year, structured around three themes: Mind, Nature, and Sound.

How Wonderfruit Works

Wonderfruit runs for five days and four nights, from Thursday to Monday in early December. The 2026 edition takes place December 3 to 7. Gates open at 4 PM on Thursday, with programming running through midday Monday. The festival site is The Fields at Siam Country Club, approximately 30 minutes from central Pattaya and 150 kilometers (two to three hours) from Bangkok.

Key operational details:

  1. Music and Programming: Wonderfruit programs electronic, world, experimental, and indie music across multiple stages. Past performers include Rudimental, Little Dragon, Seth Troxler, De La Soul, Four Tet, Goldie, Floating Points, Jose Gonzalez, Fat Freddy's Drop, Roots Manuva, Young Fathers, Woodkid, and Massive Attack's Daddy G. The 2026 artist lineup has not yet been announced as of July 2026. Programming also includes DJ sets, live electronic performances, and experimental sound art.
  2. Beyond Music: Wonderfruit is structured around three pillars: Mind, Nature, and Sound. The festival features talks and workshops on sustainability, wellness, and creative practice. Farm to Feasts offers curated dining experiences with local and international chefs. Art and architectural installations are commissioned specifically for the festival. Wellness programming includes yoga, meditation, and movement workshops.
  3. Sustainability: Sustainability is built into Wonderfruit's identity. The festival banned single-use cups in 2019, requiring all attendees to bring their own cups and removing approximately 200,000 cups from waste streams. Wonderfruit won the Greener Creative Award in the A Greener Festival Awards for 2020. The 2026 edition introduces Open Fields, a new initiative that keeps The Fields venue active year-round as a cultural hub with forests, farms, art installations, and a Medicinal Plant Village.
  4. Ticketing: Presale tickets (June 22 to 24) cost B8,900 for a 5-Day Full Pass and B7,900 for a Weekend Pass. General sale tickets (from June 24) cost B10,000 for a 5-Day Full Pass and B8,900 for a Weekend Pass. Every presale ticket includes a Wonder Cup. The Opening Sale has closed, and a waitlist is available for those who missed it. Tickets are limited and sell out fast.
  5. Camping and Accommodation: On-site camping options include General Camping (bring your own tent, with shared bathrooms, charging points, and water refill stations), Boutique Camping (fully shaded, roomier tents with added comfort), and Slow Wonder (refined, premium accommodation). Camp check-in opens at noon on Thursday December 3, with check-out at noon on Monday December 7.
  6. Getting There: A Shuttle Pass provides unlimited rides from official stops along the shuttle route. Taxis go directly to the festival entrance, followed by a 10 to 15 minute motorbike taxi ride (approximately B100) to reach the site.

Real-World Example: Wonderfruit 2026

The 2026 edition runs December 3 to 7 at The Fields at Siam Country Club. This year marks two major expansions for the festival. First, Open Fields keeps the venue active for months after the main December event, turning the site into a year-round cultural destination with forests, farms, seasonal restaurants, and a Medicinal Plant Village hosting smaller gatherings focused on creativity, wellness, and community.

Second, Wonderfruit is heading overseas for the first time with Wonderfruit Chapters: Kyoto, running October 22 to 25, 2026 (separate from the main Pattaya festival). This intimate gathering reinterprets Wonderfruit's core ideas through Japanese cultural traditions and local artistry, featuring the same immersive mix of art installations, music, wellness experiences, and sustainability programming.

The main festival's 2026 artist lineup has not yet been announced. Based on past editions, attendees can expect a mix of international electronic headliners, regional Asian acts, world music performers, and experimental artists. The festival's 10-year history has established it as Southeast Asia's premier arts and music gathering, known for its sustainability-first approach and curated programming that goes far beyond music alone.

A 5-Day Full Pass at presale cost B8,900 (approximately $250). The Weekend Pass cost B7,900. General sale prices rose to B10,000 and B8,900 respectively. The festival's commitment to removing single-use plastics means every attendee receives a Wonder Cup with their ticket, and no disposable cups are available on site.

Why It Matters for Independent Artists

Wonderfruit programs a distinctive mix of electronic, world, and experimental music that you will not find at standard EDM or indie festivals. The festival's curators prioritize artists who align with its sustainability ethos and cross-cultural programming. If you produce electronic music with organic or traditional elements, or you are an Asian artist blending regional sounds with contemporary production, Wonderfruit is one of the few major festivals in Southeast Asia that will program your work.

If you want to get booked:

  1. Build a reputation in the Asian electronic or world music scene. Wonderfruit bookers track artists performing at regional festivals and venues in Bangkok, Tokyo, Singapore, and Seoul.
  2. The festival values artists who engage with its sustainability and wellness programming. Proposing a workshop, talk, or interactive performance alongside your music set increases your chances.
  3. Work with a booking agent connected to the Asian festival circuit. Scratch First maintains relationships with regional promoters and international booking agencies.
  4. Use our Streaming Royalty Calculator to track streaming growth in Asian markets, as festival bookers evaluate regional streaming data when selecting acts.
