About Open'er Festival

The first edition was organized in 2002 as the Open Air Festival at Tor Stegny in Warsaw, with The Chemical Brothers headlining. The festival moved to Kosciuszki Square in Gdynia from 2003 to 2005, with the last edition there attracting over 50,000 people. Since 2006, the festival has been held at Kosakowo Airport (Babie Doly Military Airport) in Gdynia. The main organizer is concert agency Alter Art. Open'er won the Best Major Festival prize at the European Festivals Awards in 2009, 2010, 2019, and 2024. The festival runs Wednesday through Saturday (four days) at the end of June or first week of July. The festival features five main stages: Orange Main, Alter, Beat, Firestone, and Tent.
