A woman composer developing a new opera about historical figures would submit an intent to apply by December 18. After gaining access to the full application, she would submit her proposal by January 22. Her project might involve a libretto reading with professional singers ($3,000), a workshop with a director and pianist ($5,000), and a working performance for an invited audience ($7,000). If awarded the full $15,000, she could cover all three development activities within the grant period running from April 2026 to June 2027.
